The partnership aligns with MRP’s ambition to manage Parking Nieuw West in a professional and future-oriented manner, in line with the growth and dynamism of Osdorpplein City Centre. P1 is responsible for the operational management, customer-focused services, and day-to-day operation of the parking facility. The parking garage is open 24/7, easily accessible, and, following the completion of the MIX Amsterdam development this summer, will offer 607 parking spaces and 400 bicycle parking spaces. The facility accommodates both short-term and long-term parkers and provides flexible and attractive subscription options. P1’s management focuses on optimal accessibility, efficient use of the facility, and a seamless parking experience for visitors, residents, and local businesses.
Together with MIX Amsterdam, Parking Nieuw West forms part of MRP’s broader area development strategy for Osdorpplein City Centre. MIX Amsterdam comprises a total of 528 homes, including 162 social rental units. The leasing of the 281 private-sector rental apartments and the sale of 45 owner-occupied homes are currently well underway. The first homes will be delivered in phases starting in July. Residents will be able to purchase a subscription for Parking Nieuw West at a reduced rate.
Sustainable and Healthy Urban Development
MIX Amsterdam has been developed based on MRP’s vision of creating sustainable, healthy, and future-proof urban neighbourhoods. Through smart design choices and innovation, the environmental impact of the built environment is reduced while enhancing quality of life. A green courtyard garden encourages interaction among residents and contributes to climate adaptation and biodiversity. The ground floor of MIX Amsterdam will accommodate retail units, office space, and the cultural centre Het Verhalenhuis. This initiative is a collaboration between the Amsterdam Public Library (Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam), El Hizjra, and Oxville Cinema. Het Verhalenhuis will become an open and accessible community hub, offering a broad and active programme for the local neighbourhood.
MIX Amsterdam has been developed by MRP in collaboration with the Municipality of Amsterdam. The project was designed by de Architekten Cie., constructed by Heddes Bouw & Ontwikkeling, and construction project management is being carried out by Drees & Sommer. The landscape design was created by Sand & Co. The owners are Union Investment GmbH and Ymere.
