Celebration Mares & De Zuid with municipality of The Hague

In the presence of Angelique Hadel (Manager Area Development Coast Municipality of The Hague), the project team De Zuid with Bart Meijer (CEO MRP) and Hans Meurs (CEO VORM), the project team Municipality of The Hague) and Gerard Zwijnenburg (Director Van der Zwan) toasted the completion of ZuidKade with 89 apartments in April 2025, the successful leasing with mostly maritime innovative entrepreneurs in the commercial units and the construction of Mares Den Haag aan zee with 98 luxury apartments and high-end penthouses. With this, Scheveningen Harbour is increasingly becoming a vibrant place to live, work and recreate while preserving the harbour for various functions.

The De Zuid area development includes approximately 400 homes. From apartments to ground-level houses, surrounded by harbors, beach and sea. Earlier subplans ZuidDuin, ZuidHaven and ZuidKade have been realized. Subsequent phases Mares, ZuidBaai and ZuidHof complete the area development. De Zuid is located on the former Norfolk site, situated around the Third Harbour in the harbor of Scheveningen in The Hague.  During the toasting moment, refined Mares Sushi was served, prepared with squid from the North Sea.

Mares is a development of De Zuid CV (MRP and VORM) in collaboration with the Municipality of The Hague, architecture 3XN/GXN, landscape architecture Copijn, interior designer TKI, realization VORM Bouw.
