Exclusive living in Mares with a sustainable heating system from Four Energy
After a careful selection, development consortium De Zuid CV (a collaboration between MRP and VORM) has contracted Four Energy for the realization and operation of the innovative and sustainable heat system for Mares. The high-quality building with 98 luxury apartments and high-end penthouses, business spaces and a parking garage is being built on the coast of The Hague in Scheveningen.

About the project
Mares is part of the De Zuid area development at the Derde Haven in The Hague Scheveningen and was developed by MRP and VORM. Construction is in full swing and completion is expected in the first quarter of 2028. Four Energy has been selected as a suitable partner for the realisation, operation and reliable supply of heat and cold to the apartments and business premises. In Four Energy, De Zuid CV not only found a partner who is responsible for a reliable and sustainable supply of heat and cold, but also for achieving the necessary energy performance.

The luxury building Mares requires a sustainable and innovative system that meets the future needs of its residents. This requires a high degree of flexibility and a partner who looks beyond standard solutions. With its innovative strength and technical expertise, Four Energy is a good fit for Mares. In addition, Four Energy offers transparent and predictable energy costs for end users, which contributes to living comfort and security for residents.
Central heat source, individual heat pumps
Close to Mares, soil sources are installed deep in the earth. These ground sources are part of the central source system to supply both heat and cold to the apartments. The individual heat pumps in the apartments are supplied with hot water for heating and hot tap water in the winter, and cold water flows through the heating system in the summer. Natural gas is no longer needed to heat, cool and supply hot water to the apartments and business premises.
Security for residents
Four Energy operates the installation for a period of at least 30 years By means of continuous monitoring, optimization and maintenance of the installation, the quality and efficiency of the system is guaranteed throughout its entire term.
Residents then have the choice of whether they want to rent or buy their individual heat pump from Four Energy. When choosing to rent, the system is maintained by Four Energy during the entire rental period, any defective parts are replaced or repaired and the system is completely replaced if necessary or at the end of its life.
